Wow, I didn't know visualization was so important. I purposely avoid it because I really don't want to be lead astray on "illusions of my own mind". For me, I feel only, and I feel it is enough because I feel very strongly- I constantly quiver from it when doing magic. This can be a pain when meditating also though...

There are thousands of manuscripts because there were thousands of monks who sat around and copied them all day. It is largely mythology, much of it adapted from previous mythology from older civilizations. If you think that Jesus was the first story of immaculate conception or Noah was the first guy who built a boat for a flood you need to do some more research. Homer only has a few since it was originally an oral tradition, not a written one and much was lost during the Greek dark ages.

Asking for "proof and authenticity" from any religion is outrageous. Any religion is "authentic" if it practices what it preaches (which cannot be said of the majority) and "proof" only comes from within. Do you feel that the teachings of Jesus Christ enlighten you and that the Holy Spirit resides within? If so, isn't that proof enough? It shouldn't be what you are reading, instead it should be what you are feeling. I feel the Goddess and the God all around me, do you feel your God?
