what an inspiring video! I would love to get to sail the Horn one day, but so far I only have the permit to sail in austrian continental waters though and of course lake garda in italy... do i need to have an international permit to participate and how do i get to participate? what could be a position on the boat, that someone without much experience in sailing at sea could be able to perform? i am seriously driven;)

I keep watching this video over and over! I can sense the excitement and fear. That's living ! I especially love the lady and her honesty. ("even though it's quite scary it's fun as well") You are living my dream Thank you

What a well deserved shot of Crown Royal lol. Brave girl to go along on that ride...I'd really have to think about it. What's up with that other sailboat laying in the water you passed? Were they rescued? Also I noticed it looked like a racing craft that was blown over because of the small keel. Not very seaworthy but fast?

Those boats are so finely tuned, they're like F1 cars, just way too twitchy. I dream that one day I'll go around the cape, but I'll do it on a boat built more like a Land Rover than a Ferrari... My current 'Land Rover' is just too small... I can dream can't i?!

Sailing the horn is on my bucket list. I just don't think I'm ready yet. That plus I live on my 36 Pearson and I love it and don't want it jacked up.
