i use 6 ft medium heavys for everything and it handles well.

I use a Shimano Stradic 4000 fi with a 30lb test braid. What rod would you recommend when using a jig? I currently have an All Star Classic 7ft. Wanted to upgrade to a more heavy duty but light weight rod. I caught a 36in red and my rod felt like it was gonna break.
